Final Conference of the Alps-Adriatic Expert Group on Equal Opportunities for Women and Men

On the 4th and 5th of October 2012 the Expert Group on Equal Opportunities within the Alps-Adriatic Working Community held its fourth and final meeting on the project "Equal Opportunities for Women and Men in the Alps-Adriatic Area" in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee.

Let the Games begin!

The 15th Alps-Adriatic Youth Summer Games will be "Green."

Under the slogan "We play it green and simple!" this year´s Alps-Adriatic Youth Summer Games will take place in the Austrian regions Burgenland and Styria from the 25th to the 28th of June 2012. More than 800 young athletes from 14 central European regions will meet for competitions in basketball, athletics, judo, swimming, rock climbing and volleyball.

Two regions are joint organizers for the first time: Styria and Burgenland
The implementation includes the following aspects: usage of regional products, sustainable ecological footprint, positive energy balance, shorter transportation routes. The emphasis will be on e-busses, multi-usage packaging, fair-trade manufactured clothes, ecologic paper etc.

Documentazione transfrontaliera sugli insediamenti operai

La Comunità di lavoro presenta il Rapporto comune sull’architettura degli insediamenti operai

Il Gruppo progetto Centri storici è stato tra i primi gruppi della Comunità di lavoro fondata nel 1978 e a tuttora ne è uno dei più attivi. Sotto l’egida di Johann Schwertner, direttore dell’Istituto per l’etnologia carinziana presso il Museo Regionale della Carinzia, numerosi architetti, conservatori ed etnologi provenienti da Austria, Italia, Slovenia, Croazia e Ungheria si occupano, da ormai quasi 30 anni, di vari tematiche riguardanti l’architettura vernacolare nel territorio dell’Alpe-Adria. La diversità insita nelle discipline coinvolte per quel che riguarda gli approcci scientifici e l’impianto metodologico rende particolarmente interessante la collaborazione tra i vari membri del gruppo e si rispecchia ampiamente anche nei risultati.
